The year has flown by. It is cliche to say, but it feels like yesterday that we were flying down to the Greatest American Truck Show for 2014.
I like going to trade shows like GATS. It’s great to meet you and learn what you’re doing and how we can help you.
Why Go to GATS?
- TRAFFIC (the good kind): Face to face – networking – spending time with other truckers reminds us why we make the choice every day to go out on the road. The frightening chance of a devastating accident avoided, the tales of badly marked detours, the delicious meal we found at a new stop – there’s nothing like a good story to put a laugh in our bellies and a tear in our eyes. We’ve made good friends at GATS over the years – you can too. Enjoy the concert and that Beer Garden.
- ENGAGEMENT: There’s nothing like talking with truckers and fleet managers about their problems and challenges face-to-face. Don’t hesitate to talk to the vendors – they’re there to talk and learn from you, not just sell you on their latest product. That Landstar Fit for the Road Health & Wellness Pavilion Stage Seminar Schedule looks kinda interesting. Don’t tell my kids about the Pump Up While You Fuel Up session – I’ll never hear the end of it.
- SHARES: Telling others about what you’ve found that works. The tips and tricks that our younger friends call “life-hacks” – many we’ve known for years! – that we can share and spread the wisdom. You may want to stop by see our friends at the Get Loaded booth to see what they’re giving away and spend some time talking to the other drivers.
While you’re at GATS this week, think about us. We’re here in Ohio this week instead of with you, working on several new changes in store for our users. We will announce those soon – because we’ve heard what you want and need.
Have a great time at GATS!
